“Mercy” – New Music from Keith Harkin

On Mercy Street is Keith Harkin’s follow-up to his 2012 solo self-titled debut, which reached #8 on Amazon.com’s Pop Music Charts and the #1 spot on Amazon.com’s International charts two months before the release date. The new album consists of 12 tracks, all penned by Harkin, which reflect his folk-infused acoustic pop sound.  You may also know Harkin from his role as lead soloist in Celtic Thunder, who Billboard magazine named Top World Album Artist.

Recorded at Sphere Studios in London, the record was produced by Harkin’s long time friends and talented producers Andy Wright and Gavin Goldberg and cut live and all in one take. The songs take on a more personal direction into Keith’s musical styling, with each track taking root in his own personal life – reflections about love, loss, longing, and the turns they take you on along the way. Combined with his honey-thick voice and a full band, he takes the listener on a journey that creeps into his heartstrings. His sound draws from that place where Matt Nathanson, Van Morrison, maybe a bit of Zac Brown and Joni Mitchell meet – that sweet spot between adult pop and new country.

Readers, feast your ears on “Mercy”, a single from On Mercy Street, which showcases Harkin’s infectious energy:
