Alt-country superstar Ryan Adams is releasing an album covering Taylor Swift’s hit record 1989. Adams announced the project last month, and has been slowly delivering teasers and snippets of his recordings on social media. Swift, who has cited Adams as a personal influence who shaped her songwriting; she is fully on board with Adams’ endeavor, which she calls “surreal and dreamlike,” the news of which is currently dominating her Twitter feed.
Adam’s version of 1989 will be available digitally on September 21st, with CD and vinyl releases soon to follow. He premiered his take on “Bad Blood,” on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show yesterday, check out it here:
