As the old adage goes, “A good man is hard to find,” but it seems that singer-songwriter Michelle LeBlanc has hope that there is one in her future, and sings his praises in her new tune “A Good Man.”
“Songs are weird and sometimes I’m not sure where they come from or why,” she says. “I actually wrote the song at a time in my life when the words were probably the farthest away from my reality. I think I wrote it to remind myself to have a little hope and compassion for where I was at and to also trust in the timing of everything. I guess it’s basically a love song to the lucky dude who gets to win me over… whoever he ends up being.”
The song follows up her latest EP, 2018’s A Man Like You; she has her sights set on releasing a full-length album in the not-to-distant future. The video for “A Good Man” was shot in East Nashville by Stacie Huckeba, who has an amazing talent for capturing the essence of an artist’s work visually without distractions. The dreaminess of LeBlanc’s persona and style, as well as her tender vocals, are on beautiful display, the simplicity of the message and delivery are a much-welcomed respite from the world’s noise.
Without further ado, Mother Church Pew proudly presents “A Good Man,” the new video from Michelle LeBlanc:
