“The greater secrets ever found are in my youth,” sings 24 year-old folk artist Adam Melchor in “Brook Revisited,” the lead single from The Archer, his forthcoming EP set for release on March 31st.
The song is inspired by a reacquaintance with a childhood friend brought about by tragedy, and in part, a personal tribute to a companion who died from an overdose. Melchor’s otherworldly tenor soars, buoyed by agile acoustic fingerpicking, creating a wistful atmosphere of remembrance and emotional reflection, attributes usually reserved for seasoned folksters with more worn and weathered edges.
