“Champagne Drops” – New Music from My bubba

Scandinavian folk duo My bubba released “Champagne Drops”, a warmly sensual new song that celebrates the season; with its subtle Motown groove and delicately soft vocals, the song mirrors the sweetness mingled with darkness and seriousness so often felt during this time of year.

My bubba (My Larsdotter — pronounced mee — and Bubba Tomasdottír) have toured with Damien Rice, co-written music with Matthew E. White, recorded with Noah Georgeson, gone karaoke singing with Gillian Welch-and racked up over 7 million Spotify streams along the way. In their music they explore themes of longing, sexuality, loss and ancestry with a playful, light touch. They may be quiet, but their soul and sensuality is pure and potent.

My bubba released their third studio album, on April 15th this year, and are currently writing a new album that will be announced in 2017. Until then, cozy up with this snuggly, cuddly, blanket of a song, and get ready for Christmas:
